If Jesus was being born this Christmas, where do you think he would be born?
If Joseph and Mary came to England this Christmas, I wonder where the baby would be born? Perhaps in a huge barge in Portland Harbour? Or if Joseph and Mary went to Gaza this Christmas, perhaps the baby would be born in the Al Ahli hospital run by the Anglican church in Northern Gaza?
Jesus was born in Israel, probably in 7BC and before he was two years old we know he was a refugee and had fled for his life from Israel to Egypt. It all feels far too familiar to be comfortable.
Perhaps the question we should be asking is “How much space will I make for Jesus in my life?”
